Product Description
tesa HAF® 8401 is a double-sided, heat-activated tape used for high-level bonding requirements. The heat-activated adhesive tape is used for bonding thermal-resistant materials such as metal, glass, plastic, wood, and textiles. Another main application is high-strength overlap splicing. The tape is made up of a nitrile rubber and phenolic adhesive and a glassine liner, however, it does not have a backing. High resistance tape tesa HAF® 8401 is activated by heat, only reaching its ideal tack at 90°C. Once the tape has hardened, it offers superior bonding and adhesive strength, and can withstand many chemicals and high temperatures. The heat activated tape is suitable for die-cutting and can easily be slit.
